In the latest show of his “Suņu būda V2.0”, the programme’s host Artuss Kaimiņš interviewed the leader of the Saeima faction of “For Stability!” political party Aleksejs Rosļikovs. Discussions regarding the so-called Russian issue were truly heated. “You have a very subjective opinion of me and my team,” said Rosļikovs, before harshly criticising his Saeima colleagues.
“Old people who simply refuse to let go of power. They are prepared to “sleep” with one another in any pose and team just to keep the bed theirs,” said Rosļikovs, when asked to describe his personal emotions about the ruling coalition.
According to him, some of the members of the coalition simply “come to work without understanding what it is they are even doing”. “Sometimes you tell them what it is they are actually voting for, and you can tell from their eyes that its the first time they’re even heard of all that,” said Rosļikovs.
The chairman of “For Stability!” faction also said that the “National Alliance” and “Combined List” do not feel like the opposition in the Saeima, rather they are waiting for “Progressives” to fall. According to Rosļikovs, the only reason why “Progressives are in the coalition is the same-sex marriage legalisation issue”. “Now they’re just waiting for a tasteful way to get rid of them”.
When asked who Crimea belongs to, Aleksejs Rosļikovs said: “It is my personal, honest opinion as a Latvian that I completely do not care what happens around the world. I care only what happens here, in Latvia. This is what’s important to me.”
The conversation that followed became even more heated, and the atmosphere – all the more stifling.
