On Friday, the 15th of November, the sky will clear and the sun will shine. There will be some light rain, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
In the morning and early afternoon, roads will still be slippery in areas on the east! Winds are expected to blow gently to moderately from the south-west. During the day, a warmer air mass will gradually move into the area, so the weather will warm up to +5…+10 degrees, but it will remain cooler in the eastern areas: +2…+5 degrees, according to the synoptics.
A large cyclone will shape the weather over the weekend and at the beginning of the new week. The weather will be mostly cloudy. Several precipitation zones will cross the area, increasing the amount of precipitation and increasing wind gusts. Winds will be moderate to moderately strong from the south-west and west, gusting up to 15-18 m/s on the coast and west of the country from Saturday morning, and up to 20 m/s on the coast. Temperatures will not drop below +1…+4 degrees at night and will warm to +5…+10 degrees during the day.
The Latvian Centre for Environment, Geology and Meteorology notes that next week’s weather will remain similar to that of the weekend, with cloud cover and rain in many parts of the country. However, the weather will turn slightly colder and sleet, snow and wet conditions are expected in some areas.
