Latvian President Edgars Rinkēvičs congratulates Republican Candidate Donald Trump with his victory in the US Presidential Elections.
The Rinkēvičs wrote on X (formerly Twitter) that he hopes for cooperation with Trump to strengthen bilateral relations and transatlantic partnership.
“Europe needs strong US and US needs strong Europe. Latvia is and will be a strong and reliable partner of the US,” the Latvian President wrote.

Likewise, President of Lithuania Gitanas Nausėda congratulates Trump on his election to office. He points out that the US is Lithuania’s main strategic ally and both countries take their security seriously. Nausėda adds that Lithuania currently devotes 3.5% of its gross domestic product to defence and will continue to increase its investments.
On Wednesday, the 6th of November, Donald Trump announced his victory in the US Presidential Elections.
According to the latest estimates, Trump is only a couple of votes short of securing the necessary 270 votes. Democratic Party candidate, Vice-President Kamala Harris, on the other hand, has no hope of winning now.
