Similarly to the past several days, this Thursday the sky will be covered by a thick layer of clouds and there will be precipitation, as reported by Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
During the day, a new and wide precipitation zone will pass through the country from the south, bringing rain to many parts of Latvia. The wind will be slow to moderate and will blow from the north-east. Air temperature will reach only +8° C… +13° C.
The precipitation zone, which will reach Latvia on Thursday, will bring rain to all of the country on the night to Friday. During the day, however, rail showers will be mostly local. Air temperature at night will drop to +6° C… +11° C. Daytime air temperature will not be higher than +9° C… +13° C.
There will be less precipitation on the weekend, as weather will become dry and sunny. Nights will be chilly – air temperature will drop to +2° C… +4° C. It will be slightly warmer along the coast. Daytime air temperature will not change much.
Current forecasts suggest warmer masses of air may flow to the country next week. This means air temperature may increase, reaching close to +20° C.
