On Monday, the 15th April, weather in Latvia will be cloudy. Precipitation is expected as well – mostly rain, but in Vidzeme there is a possibility of wet snow in morning hours, as reported by Latvian State Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
The day will not be entirely grey, because at times, mostly in the second half of the day, the sun will shine between the clouds. The wind will blow from the west, reaching a speed of 15-19 m/sec, in the first half of the day wind speed will be 20 m/sec. The wind will calm down in western parts of Latvia around the afternoon and around the evening in eastern parts. Air temperature will reach +4° C… +9° C (+10° C in southern parts).
In the coming days weather conditions will be dictated by cyclone activity – weather will be rich in precipitation. The wind will calm down.
Meteorologists say that weather will be cloudy at times. Rain is expected in most of Latvia. At night and morning hours there may be fog. Wind speed will be slow. Air temperature at night will remain at -2° C… +3° C, whereas daytime air temperature will be +5° C… +10° C (+4° C… +7° C along the coast).
At the end of the week and the weekend there will be more rain. Air temperature may drop to around 0 C and lower. Wet snow and snow will replace rain, but no stable layer of snow will form. The wind will be slow in most of the country and stronger along the coast. At night air temperature will drop to -1° C… +4° C. On the weekend at night, the sky will clear up and air temperature will drop to -2° C… -4° C. Daytime air temperature will reach +2° C… +9° C.
