US President Joe Biden called Russian President Vladimir Putin a “crazy SOB” and ridiculed Donald Trump for comparing his troubles to Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny at a fundraiser in San Francisco on Wednesday evening, the 21st of February, reports Politico.
At a campaign event, Biden focused on environmental issues, while insulting Putin and Trump.
“We have a crazy SOB like this guy Putin
and others, and we always have to worry about nuclear conflicts, but the existential threat to humanity is the climate,” Biden told a small group at the fundraiser.
Biden then mocked Trump for comparing his legal problems to the political persecution of Navalny. On Tuesday, at an event hosted by Fox News, Trump called a 350 million US dollar judgment for business fraud “a kind of Navalny”.
Biden called Trump’s remarks “unhinged”, saying that if he had said something like that ten, 15 years ago, everyone would have thought he should be “committed”.
In response, the Trump campaign said that it was Biden who should be committed to a mental institution, because of what they considered to be Biden’s failures, the misery and damage that he had caused to the country.
Biden has previously, in January 2022, called a Fox News White House journalist a “crazy SOB”, , and he has a tendency to go off script during election events, and in recent months he has stung the Chinese Government, the Republican Party and US ally Israel over the bombing of Gaza.
The Kremlin has said on Thursday that Biden had humiliated the US by calling Russian President Vladimir Putin a “crazy SOB” and called the US President’s remark an unfortunate “Hollywood cowboy” performance.
