Latvian President Edgars Rinkēvičs’ format for meeting with representatives of Saeima factions will be regular, reports the president’s advisor Mārtiņš Drēģeris.
He explained that these meetings help maintain a dialogue between the legislator and the State President’s Institute. At the same time, it is a good way to discuss topical legislative topics.
LETA previously reported that during his meeting with representatives of Saeima faction of Latvia in First Place political party, Rinkēvičs concluded his cycle of meetings with all factions represented in the parliament.
Representatives of New Unity, Union of Greens and Farmers, Combined List, National Alliance, Progressives and For Stability! Saeima factions have met with the presidents as part of the cycle of meetings so far.
To enhance the dialogue and cooperation with the parliament, the president started meeting with all factions represented in the Saeima at the start of the parliament’s winter session.
