At the start of the week weather in Latvia will be dictated by an anticyclone. This means mostly dry weather and daytime air temperature at -1° C… +4° C. At night, however, air temperature will drop below 0° C in many parts, according to Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
On Monday, 15 November, the sky will be mostly cloudy with moments of sunlight. No major precipitation is expected. On Tuesday there will be some rain and some snow. Wind speed will be slow and mist may form in morning hours, limiting visibility.
Air temperature at night will drop below -1° C… -5° C in some parts of Latvia.
Days will be cold as well: air temperature in most of the country will not exceed 0° C… +5° C.
On Wednesday, 17 November, it will be cloudy. On 18 November there will be some sunlight shining between clouds.
Some rain is expected. May parts of Latvia will experience rainfall on the night to Thursday. The wind will be slow to moderate and will blow from the south. At night air temperature will drop to -1° C… +4° C. During the day air temperature will reach +3° C… +8° C.
Forecasts suggest weather will remain cloudy at the end of the week. Increasing cyclone influence over Latvia’s territory will also increase the south-western wind, the speed of which may reach 21 – 22 m/sec.
Although on Saturday air temperature will reach +6° C… +10° C, on Sunday colder masses of air will flow to Latvia again and air temperature in most of the country will not be higher than +5° C.
