Ex-Minister of Health decides to join ruling party in Latvia

The former Minister of Health of Latvia Līga Meņģelsone has decided to join New Unity (JV) political party.
As LETA was told by JV representative Anna Ūdre, Meņģelsone wrote an application to join New Unity’s leading party Unity.

Originally Meņģelsone was proposed for the previous government in Latvia by the Combined List even though she was not a member of this party union.

It is planned for her to be replaced by Saeima deputy Hosams Abu Meri as the new Minister of the Health.
On Friday, the 15th of September, the Latvian Saeima plans to vote on the approval of the new government under Evika Siliņa.
