Clients to be able to receive new SEB Bank payment cards using Omniva parcel machines

From now on SEB Bank clients will be able to receive new or replacement debit or credit cards in Omniva parcel machines. The new service will be available to all private and corporate clients in all Baltic States, as confirmed by the bank’s representatives.

SEB Bank board member Arnis Škapars notes the bank constantly searches for ways to improve customer experience and expand the range of services.

Data compiled by the bank indicates that 90% of clients receive credit and debit cards by mail, have them delivered home, receive them at the bank or pick them up from other locations.
“We send clients an average of 170 000 cards every year this way. And now we are the first bank on the market that offers this innovative and simple delivery option using parcel machines. This is another option for our clients to receive cards quickly and safely without having to visit a bank,” says Škapars.
Receiving a bank card in a parcel machine is simple and secure. Similarly to receiving a card by mail, clients will be able to activate their card using internet banking account or mobile app.

The card’s PIN-code is also available on users’ internet bank account.

Omniva Latvija Sales Office head Māris Kuļikovskis explains that for the company this is the first such type of cooperation with the bank. He stresses that Omniva has the most expansive network of parcel machines in Latvia – in total the company has machines in 360 locations around the country.
“This way we can ensure the service for SEB Clients will be convenient and accessible. We have plans to continue expanding our network of parcel machines and focus on denser placement.

Clients will be able to receive their bank cars as simply as receiving any other package,” explains Kuļikovskis.

Initially the parcel machine delivery service will be available for new and replacement debit and credit cards. Later it is planned to open up this service to clients whose cards are restored due to the end of their validity term.
The parcel machine delivery option will cost EUR 2.3. Ordering a bank card’s delivery using Latvian Post currently costs EUR 1. Delivery to foreign countries costs EUR 10.
