Russian invaders are preparing for fights in the vicinity of Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, according to British intelligence experts.
Satellite imagery shows defensive positions being made on the roofs of multiple reactors using sand bags, as mentioned in the Thursday’s report of the British Ministry of Defence about the situation in Ukraine.
The report suggests that Russians are worried about the possibility of a major counter-offensive from Ukrainian forces.
This increases the threat of the NPP receiving damages during fighting.
Catastrophic damage to the power plant’s reactors is unlikely in most scenarios involving infantry firearms: buildings are very-well protected, the British ministry admits.
