Businesses in Latvia pay EUR 9.86 billion in taxes in 2022

Last year businesses in Latvia paid to the general state budget a total of EUR 9.86 billion in taxes. This includes EUR 3.29 billion in state social insurance contributions and EUR 1.72 billion in personal income tax.
This amount comes from estimates from Lursoft databases and information published by the State Revenue Service (VID).

The biggest tax contributions were paid by fuel traders.

Only the leader has changed. Lursoft reports that Orlen Latvija LLC paid the most in taxes last year (EUR 278.95 million). In previous years this company was third after Neste Latvija LLC (EUR 202.84 million in 2022) and Circle K Latvia LLC (EUR 190.72 million).
Baltic Sales Network LLC [tobacco products] is third with EUR 141.1 million in paid taxes. Philip Morris Latvia LLC paid EUR 124.77 million in taxes and is fifth. Pirmas LLC [petroleum base in Olaine] is sixth with EUR 109.56 million in paid taxes.
Amber Latvijas balzams JSC is seventh with EUR 86.87 million in taxes paid. Latvijas gāze JSC is eighth with EUR 78.51. Neste Oyj is ninth with EUR 72.95 million. MV Group Distribution LV LLC is tenth [alcohol trader] is tenth with EUR 70.74 million paid in taxes.

When it comes to personal income tax and state social insurance contributions, the leaders in Latvia are two hospitals – Riga Eastern Clinical University Hospital (RAKUS) and Pauls Stradins Clinical University Hospital (PSKUS).
RAKUS is first when it comes to PIT with EUR 21.42 million paid to the state budget. PSKUS is second with EUR 14.56 million. Accenture [global consultations, technology services and outsourcing company] Latvian branch is third with EUR 12.66 million.
Latvian Railway is fourth with EUR 10.33 million in PIT contributions. Rīgas satiksme LLC is fifth with EUR 9.86 million. Maxima Latvija LLC is sixth with EUR 9.74 million.
Evolution Latvia LLC [online gambling technologies and entertainment company] is seventh with EUR 9.58 million. AirBaltic Corporation is eighth with EUR 9.42 million. Rimi Latvia LLC is ninth with EUR 8.14 million, and Sadales tīkls JSC is tenth with EUR 7.67 million.
When it comes to state social insurance contributions, RAKUS is first with EUR 38.1 million, PSKUS is second with EUR 25.94 million. Maxima Latvija is third with EUR 23.13 million.
Accenture is fourth with EUR 22.99 million. Latvian Railway is fifth with EUR 22.41 million. Rīgas satiksme is sixth with EUR 19.6 million.
Rimi Latvija is seventh with EUR 19.14 million. Evolution Latvia is eighth with EUR 18.13 million. AirBaltic Corporation is ninth with EUR 16.76 million. Sadales tīkls is tenth with EUR 14.86 million.
A total of 149 800 companies were included in Lursoft’s Latvian tax payment estimates for 2022.
